Independent Research Week Eleven, Post Three (Reflection & Questions)

 I really thought this weeks new learning was interesting because it gave me an idea as to how I would like to structure my own presentation, as well as introduced me to some really solid data that I had not yet learned about during my research. I enjoyed the presentation of the talk overall. However, I did not understand the connection to jazz that the speaker was trying to push. While listening to the talk, I felt confused and lost as he transitioned into and away from conversations about jazz and his relationship to it. Personally, I was not sold on any kind of connection that the author was trying to push, and it is for that reason that I am looking at this talk as more of an inspiration for structure rather than content.
